In an interview with Develop, Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert discusses the "fundamentally broken" games funding model, saying it is geared towards "making publishers stinking rich."

Interesting post. I must say that what he talks about definitely has some merit but I have to agree with some of the comments in regards to risk/reward.

I gotta say one of the worst parts of the model in my opinion is the lack of innovation due to the publishers wearing all of the risk.. leads to too many of the same 'reliable' games
